We all know pain, and we all know suffering. I am not talking about going to the gym and feel the muscle pain the next day. I am talking about emotional suffering.
Yes, we are all going through loss, heartbreak but far too often we cling onto the past. We press the replay button and feel stuck in the ongoing hamster wheel of doom.
Why do we do this?
Well, when we go through emotional pain, our mind tries to evaluate how to avoid it or how to make it disappear. It is part of our survival instinct and also part of our personal growth. It is normal to feel pain when we got hurt, but if we stuck, it turns into suffering.
