Having bipolar disorder is complicated;
it takes over so many aspects of my life that I might as well be in a relationship with the ups and downs.
When my manic episodes surface,
I spend all of my energy riding the waves that are rising and crashing.
Here’s why I’m in a relationship with my diagnosis.
1. Symptoms are sneaky.
Especially with bipolar two, the symptoms are more subtle than the clear manic states. When I’ve just impulsively slept with a guy who isn’t good for me, I beat myself up thinking I just have terrible taste.
